Chocolate Ice Cream
Lots of heavy cream makes this recipe smooth and luxurious. For extra decadence, toss in a half cup of dark chocolate chips to the final few spins of the ice cream machine.
INGREDIENTS
1. 3 cups heavy cream 1 cup whole milk
2. ¾ cup sweetened cocoa powder
3. 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
4. ¼ cup brown sugar
5. ⅔ cup sugar Pinch salt
6. 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Sweetened Cocoa Powder
Not to be confused
with regular or Dutch-processed cocoa powders, sweetened
cocoa powder is not interchangeable in baking recipes
that call for unsweetened or natural cocoa. Sweetened cocoa powder is not as intense, it is sweet, and is intended for use in drinks and goods that are typically unbaked.
